With the Rotonde de Cartier family, Cartier gives a brand new meaning to the definition of elegant movements. The new models that combine classic lines with extraordinary complications are; Rotonde de Cartier Astromystérieux, Rotonde de Cartier Astrotourbillon and Rotonde de Cartier Skeleton Mysterious Double Tourbillon.
ROTONDE DE CARTIER ASTROMYSTÉRIEUX
The model comes in a platinum case measuring 43.5mm x 11.9mm and featuring an Aquamarine Cabochon on the winding crown. The in-house hand-wound movement, Caliber 9462MC, measures 38.2mm x 5.9mm, has 25 jewels, operates at a frequency of 3Hz (21.600vph), and offers 55 hours of power reserve when fully wound. The minute hand of the movement is fixed to the main plate made of sapphire crystal, which also carries the other transmission organs of the caliber. Thus, the movement sports a unique balance that completes a full rotation in 60 minutes. The watch comes on an alligator strap and is limited to 5 units only.
ROTONDE DE CARTIER ASTROTOURBILLON
The model comes with a platinum case measuring 47mm x 14.9mm and featuring an Aventurine Cabochon on its winding crown. The in-house manual-winding movement, Caliber 9461MC, measures 38mm x 9.01mm, has 23 jewels, operates at a frequency of 3Hz (21.600vph), and offers 48 hours of power reserve when fully wound. The Tourbillon balance system, which is positioned higher than the horizontal plane of the movement, offers a unique feast to its users by making a full rotation around the center of the watch. The watch comes on an alligator strap and is limited to 5 units only.
ROTONDE DE CARTIER SKELETON MYSTERIOUS DOUBLE TOURBILLON
The model has a 45mm x 11.9mm platinum case with a Jade Cabochon on the winding crown. The in-house manual-winding movement, Caliber 9465MC, measures 36mm x 6.28mm, has 26 jewels, operates at a frequency of 3Hz (21.600vph), and offers 52 hours of power reserve when fully wound. The Tourbillon cage, fixed to the disc made of sapphire crystal, completes a full rotation every minute, and the disc to which it is attached completes a full rotation every five minutes. The watch comes on an alligator strap and is limited to 5 units only.
