Lange 1’s 25th birthday celebration continues with the Grand Lange 1 “25th Anniversary”.
A. Lange & Söhne continues to celebrate Lange 1’s quarter-century history with the seventh model. Introduced by Günter Blümlein and Walter Lange at a press conference, the first Lange’s design and artisanship became icons not only for the brand but also for traditional German watchmaking.
One of the requirements of such success was to support similar design codes with different movements and models. The 41mm Grande Lange 1 we introduce you today is just one of these editions. Like other examples of the growing 25th anniversary collection, the Grande Lange 1 “25th Anniversary” comes in an 18K white gold case with hosting a silvery dial with blue accents such as hour markers and hands. Unlike the Lange 1 LE, which was introduced in SIHH 2019 and limited to 250 pieces, the Grande Lange 1 is only available in 25 units, just like the other versions we’ve seen so far. Therefore, it will be a little hard to find one...
In the Grande Lange 1, which has all the characteristics of the original Lange 1, has perfect simplicity comes to the forefront as usual. For this model with a diameter greater than the 38.5mm platform, a wider mechanism was designed to achieve the same design codes and perfection. Thus, watch enthusiasts with larger wrists can also enjoy the simple beauty of the original Lange 1 without compromising the dial’s golden ratio.
Grand Lange 1 “25th Anniversary” is powered by the hand-wound movement Caliber L.095.1, which offers a power reserve of 72 hours when fully wound. The brilliantly decorated movement is enjoyed through the sapphire display case back. Like the other models in the collection, this movement has a blue ‘25’ number on the balance cock.
The Grande Lange 1’s gray-stitched handcrafted alligator strap that is complemented by an 18K white gold prong buckle. The MSRP is 43,700 EUR.
