The legendary model family Lange 1 of the famous German brand A. Lange & Söhne celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. Introduced as the second model of the collection designed for this special occasion, Grand Lange 1 Moon Phase ’25th Anniversary’ blends the common design language of the series with its unique details.
The model comes in an 18K white gold case, as we are familiar with other models in the collection. The case differs from the standard version with its 2.5mm larger case measuring 41 in diameter and 9.4mm in height. The case, which features both matt finished and mirror-polished surfaces, is equipped with anti-glare coated scratch-resistant sapphire crystals on both sides.
A. Lange & Söhne Grand Lange 1 Moon Phase ’25th Anniversary’ features a dial that is exclusively designed to match with the 25th Anniversary theme. The dial is finished in silver color with blue accents, which is used in all other models in the series. Unlike the standard Lange 1 Moon Phase model, the moon phase indicator of the Grande version is re-located within the time display sub-dial. The moon phase indicator’s disk is made of solid white gold with hand-engraved stars. Besides the moon phase function, the dial also features displays for small second, brand signature big date and crescent-shaped vertical power reserve indicator.
The model is powered by the Caliber L095.3, which successfully reflects the A. Lange & Söhne style. This beautiful hand-wound masterpiece beats, which includes 45 jewels/446 components, beats at a frequency of 21600vph and offers a power reserve of 72 hours when fully wound. Enjoyed through the sapphire crystal display case back, the movement sports a hand-engraved balance cock featuring a blue ‘25’ inscription like the other models in the anniversary collection.
Limited to a span of 25 units only, A. Lange & Söhne Grand Lange 1 Moon Phase ’25th Anniversary’ comes on a hand-sewn blue alligator strap that is secured by an 18K white gold pin buckle. The MSRP for the model is EUR 45,800.
