The German hi-end watch manufacturer A. Lange & Söhne, which was highly acclaimed by the watch enthusiasts with its novelties introduced at the SIHH 2018 exhibition, is under the spotlight with its Triple Split model which brings a totally different perspective to the principles of traditional watchmaking.

The new model comes in a classic A. Lange & Söhne style 18K white gold case measuring 43.2mm in diameter and 15.6mm in height. The case is equipped with scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both sides which provide a full view of its beautiful dial and work of art movement.
The model’s dial is finished in gray with sub-counters laid out in classic Tri-Copmax style with and addition of full chapter power reserve indicator. Despite the rich features of the model, the dial is still simple enough to read all the information with ease. The sub-counters located at 4 and 8 o’clock feature a lighter tone background for improved legibility. Hands are rhodium plated and blued while the appliqué hour markers are made of white gold in line with the case. The night time legibility on the hand is limited to the hour and minute hands the rest of the hands and indices are not lumed.
A. Lange & Söhne Triple Split is powered by the brands Caliber L132.1. The movement, which is the first mechanical split-seconds chronograph in the world that allows multi-hour comparative time measurements, features amazing technical and aesthetic details expected from an A. Lange & Söhne caliber. Operating at 21600vph and offering 55 hours of power reserve when fully wound, the hand-wound movement feature additional rattrapante hands on the minute and hour totalizers make it possible to stop lap and reference times of events that last as long as twelve hours.
The movement, which is enjoyable through sapphire crystal display caseback, bears classic A. Lange & Söhne details like a main plate and bridges made of untreated German silver and a balance cock engraved by hand.
A. Lange & Söhne Triple Split comes on a hand stitched black alligator strap with contrast white stitching that is secured with a folding clasp made of 18K white gold material. The new model is limited to a span of 100 units only.
