Among the innovations of Audemars Piguet, which started its show of strength with 31 different new models, the investment made in the Code 11.59 family does not go unnoticed.
The fourth of the RD series, in which the most special products of Audemars Piguet Research and Development Department were introduced, also belongs to the Code series. The watches, released under the name Ultra-Complication Universelle RD#4, host 23 complications and 40 different features. The RD#4, which measures 42mm x 15.6mm in 18k white gold and 18k rose gold case options, can be purchased with skeletonized or closed dial options. Equipped with double-curved sapphire crystals, which is the signature design of the Code 11.59 series, the water resistance values of the watches are stated as 20 meters.
Developed and produced in-house, the automatic Caliber 1000 brings the RD#4 models to life. Consisting of 1140 parts, the movement has 90 jewels, beats at a frequency of 21600vph, and has a power reserve of 64 hours. A chronograph with split seconds and flyback, a comprehensive minute repeater and super/grand-sonnerie, a full-fledged perpetual calendar, and a tourbillon are just a few of the complications associated with the movement.
Code 11.59 Minute Repeater Supersonnerie measures 41mm x 13.6mm, has an 18-carat rose gold-ceramic case, double-curved sapphire crystal, and is waterproof to 30 meters. Composed of 362 parts, the winding Caliber 2953 beats at 21600 vibrations per hour, and has a 72-hour power reserve and a minute repeater complication.
Code 11.59 Grande Sonnerie Carillon Supersonnerie measures 41mm x 13.5mm, has an 18-carat gold-ceramic case, double curved sapphire crystal, and is water resistant up to 20 meters. There are three alternatives for the gold parts: white, yellow, and pink. The model, which comes to life with the hand-wound Caliber 2956 movement, which consists of 498 parts, beats at a frequency of 21600vph per hour and has a 48-hour power reserve, has minute repeater, grande sonnerie supersonnerie, and petite sonnerie complications.
Code 11.59 Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon measures 41mm x 11.8mm, has an 18-carat yellow gold-ceramic case, double-curved sapphire crystal, and is waterproof up to 30 meters. The Aventurine dial model is home to the automatic Caliber 2950, consisting of 270 parts, with 27 jewels, a power reserve of 65 hours, and a flying tourbillon complication.
The Code 11.59 family has added new options to its chronograph and time-only versions. The models with the chronograph have stainless steel cases measuring 41mm x 12.6mm. The watches, which offer sapphire crystal and water resistance up to 30 meters, are powered by the Caliber 4401, which offers a power reserve of up to 70 hours and a flyback chronograph.
Time-only models, on the other hand, have stainless steel cases measuring 41mm x 10.7mm. The automatic Caliber 4302 with a 70-hour power reserve is featured in the watches with three different color alternatives, beige, green, and blue.
