Audemars Piguet introduced the renewed version of its cult model Royal Oak. While the dial and the movement of the 41mm diameter model is completely changed, there are also various updates on the case as well.
As it is known, Ref. The 15400 model was introduced in 2012. The model, which is known as the largest version with its 41mm diameter case, gets its first update 6 years after its introduction. In the new models dial where the Grand Tapisserie motif is more pronounced, the date display is located closer to the dial’s edge. 41Mm diameter remains the same but the total height is increased from 9.8mm to 10.04mm. The movement of of the new model, which looks similar to the Ref.15202 Jumbo’s, is among the revisions.
The new model comes in 5 different versions with stainless steel and 18K pink gold cases offered on metal bracelets or alligator straps. Dial colors are black, gray and blue.
The new models are powered by the new self-winding Caliber 4302 which was introduced with the new CODE 11.59 series. Unlike the previously used Caliber 3120, the movement beats at 28800vph and offers 70 hour power reserve, which possibly relates to the increased thickness.
