Bell & Ross, the French-born name of the watch world, continues to capture the hearts of its fans with the new versions it adds to its square case models inspired by the gauges in airplane cockpits. The model family, which was initially popular with a limited audience of enthusiasts, hosts eccentric versions that carry flight instruments such as compass, altimeter, and even radar to the wrist, thanks to the brand's superior success in design. BR 03 Gyrocompass, one of the latest models of the original series, makes an apt reference to the military aviation roots of the model family with its compass theme.

The new model comes with the updated BR 03 style case designed with dimensions of 41mm x 41mm x 10.6mm. The case, which offers a flat but comfortable experience on the wrist with its relatively low height despite its wide side size, is produced from the brand's high-tech black ceramic alloy. The alloy, which allows the model to maintain its first-day condition for many years thanks to the ceramic's resistance to the corrosive effects of time and use, highlights the tactical character of the watch with its micro-sandblasting surface. The sporty case, which has a flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the front and a solid ceramic cover on the back, also gives the green light for light water activities with its 100-meter water resistance value.

The compass, which is the prominent feature of the model, hosts a simpler working principle to the dial in this model. Unlike the compass-themed BR 03 model introduced in 2013, this feature is used via hands instead of discs. The black matte dial features a plus sign with four cardinal points printed in SLN. The most striking feature of the dial is the jet plane-shaped hour hand, colored with yellow SLN. While the minute and seconds hands are designed in a traditional and simple matte black style, the circular date window detail between 4 and 5 o'clock is also featured on the dial.

The new model is powered by the BR-CAL.302 movement, based on the new generation Sellita SW300-1. The caliber, which oscillates at a frequency of 4Hz (28,800vph), not only does its job well but also performs in line with today's standards and expectations, with its power reserve time extended to 54 hours.
