The Grand Prix race week in Shanghai will be hosting the very first personalized BR-X1 RS16 Skeleton Chronograph watches for Kevin Magnussen and Jolyon Palmer. Both pilots were presented with a personalized watch this week with their name and number in the Renault Life font.
As Official Watch Partner of the Renault Sport F1 ™ Team, Bell & Ross further celebrate the Pirelli Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai. The 5.4 km long track in the shape of the Chinese ‘shang’ symbol, which stands for ‘high’ or ‘above’, is well known for its challenging dynamics. A brand new pair of limited edition watches will be launched at this famous track: the BR-X1 RS16 and RS16 Tourbillon BR-X1. The watches are named after the the RS 16, the new race car the Renault team for the 2016 season plans to use, and will be sold exclusively only in selected Grand Prix.
The Bell & Ross BR-X1 line is a highly modified version of the famous Type BR01. The BR-X1 RS16 Skeleton Chronograph and the BR-X1 RS16 Skeleton Tourbillon Chronograph are designed to withstand extreme conditions. The new timepieces are housed in a 45mm multi-material case. Through the use of materials such as Titanium Grade 5 and Forged Carbone, the BRX1 is a lightweight, yet extremely durable watch that can take the extreme conditions of motor racing.
The matte finish eliminates reflection for better readability and provides the watch a softer touch.
The dial is made of gray sapphire crystal and designed with metal accents. There is an open heart type window through which the movement can be seen. The SuperLuminova filled hands and indexes offer utmost readability. A yellow colored rubber belt is integrated to provide a better grip when using the chronograph functions, with or without gloves.

are decorated with yellow rubber inserts on the crown and push
buttons.
The BR-X1 RS16 Skeleton Chronograph is a contemporary
chronograph with a sporty design. Its chronograph pushers are made
of high-tech ceramic with ergonomic yellow rubber inserts. The
tachymeter scale, is placed on the dark gray ledge. For improved
readability, the chronograph hands are cast in
yellow.
The BR-X1 RS16 Tourbillon is limited to 20 pieces only.
The Tourbillon Skeleton mono-pusher chronograph, developed with a column wheel movement, sports centralized hours and minutes for a classic lay out.. The movement offers a power reserve of 100 hours (4 days) when fully wound and the power reserve can be monitored via the indicator located at 9 o’clock. The watch also has a 30-minute counter at 10 o’clock and a 60-second counter at 2 o’clock for the chronograph functions. The Tourbillon is located at 6 o’clock.
The caseback is engraved with the Renault Sport F1 ™ Team logo.
