Bovet 1822 introduced the Virtuoso X model, which is devoted to watchmaking, combining technical excellence and art with Ateliers Bovet, to its enthusiasts within the scope of Watches & Wonders 2020 event.
Bovet, which appeals to an extremely elite segment in luxury watchmaking with its designs and workmanship, manages to push the limits of watchmaking art with every new model it introduces. The Virtuoso X model, which makes you stare at its dial continuously with its eye-catching design, is one of the best proofs of this.
Bovet 1822 Virtuoso X meets the watch enthusiasts with a 46mm case available in 18K red, white gold, and platinum case. The model, which has a thickness of 17,20mm, can be used with an 18K red or white gold chain as well. The case shows resistance to water pressure up to 30 meters.
Bovet 1822 Virtuoso X draws attention with its patented flying tourbillon and its movement that offers a 10-day power reserve with a single barrel despite the display of three different time zones. The local time is displayed on the sub-dial in the middle of the dial and on the back of the dial. Secondary time zones can be viewed from the horizontal axis on the front of the model. Indicators that offer the chance to monitor the time on a 24-hour scale show the time of the cities selected by the user.
At the center of the secondary time zones is a pair of hand-painted hemispheres. The upper part of each shows the name of the city corresponding to the time zone.
The back of the Virtuoso X combines the abilities of the artisans with the virtue of the engravers. The first is preparing a 'flinqué' dial with the purest tradition of the 18th and 19th century 'cabinotiers'. The second engraves the 'fleurisanne' motif, which was brought to watchmaking by the Bovet brothers from the early 19th century. The depth of the engraving flows smoothly across the bridges of the movement and provides optimum legibility thanks to the contrast it creates with the dial.
A crocodile strap complements the model, offered with a price tag of 325,000 CHF.
