Classique 5177 is a well-known model especially for Breguet fans. The model, which managed to get among the iconic timepieces of the brand with its silvery Guilloche dial, is preparing to salute the watch enthusiast with its new version featuring an eye-catching dark blue enamel dial. In the meantime, let me add that the Classique 5177 Blue ‘Grand Feu’ Enamel is not the first blue enamel dial from the brand. The Ginza Edition of 2017, which is exclusively designed to commemorate the opening of the brand’s Tokyo Boutqiue with a limited span of 10 units only, had the same dial.

The new model is offered with a 38mm diameter case made of 18K white gold. The case expresses the classic Breguet design with its middle part being shaped like a coin edge, is equipped with scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both sides.

One of the most striking details of the model is the dark blue dial made of Grand Feu enamel, which is baked in an oven at 800 degrees Celsius – with markings in powdered silver, as are the numerals on the date wheel. Speaking of the date display window, let me add that the assymetticly shaped window is located pretty close to the 3 o’clock marker.

The model is powered by the Caliber 777Q manufactured by Lemania, Breguet’s sister company, which has been acquired by the Swatch Group back in 1999. Self-winding movement offers 55 hours power reserve when fully wound and attracts attention with its extensive Cotes de Genève decorations as well as its solid 18K white gold oscillating rotor.
