Breguet adorns the dial of its Extra-Thin Self-Winding Tourbillon with a touch of deep blue, by using the traditional Grand Feu enamel technique.
Classique Tourbillon Extra-Plat Automatique 5367, which is among the cult models of Breguet, one of the veteran names of traditional watchmaking, enters 2020 with a new dial. The model, which is among the thinnest automatic Tourbillon timepieces with its thickness not exceeding 3mm, is a candidate to be within the watch enthusiasts’ Holy Grail list with its deep blue Grand Feu enamel dial.
The case of the model, like in the previous versions, measures 41mm in diameter and 7.45mm in height. Made of Grade 950 platinum, the case is equipped with scratch-resistant sapphire crystals on both sides. The case, which also features the brand signature coin-edge patterned center section and welded lugs with screw-secured bars, can withstand 30 meters/3 bar water pressure.
The detail that distinguishes the new model from past versions is undoubtedly the dial. A vibrant and intense blue tone is used on the enamel dial that is manufactured by the Grand Feu technique, which is among the classic decoration details of Swiss watchmaking. In the dial, which is equipped with Arabic indices and Breguet open-tipped hands, the Tourbillon escapement is located at 5 o'clock.
Inside the model is the extra-thin Cal. 581, which we are familiar with from previous versions. With its 3mm thickness, the eye-catching automatic movement operates at a frequency of 4Hz (28,800vph) and offers 80 hours of power reserve time when fully wound. The fascinating movement, consisting of 334 components, draws attention with its high-tech silicon balance spring as well as the Tourbillon escapement with small seconds on the axis and titanium cage.
The model, which comes on a blue alligator strap that is secured by a folding clasp made of the same material as the case, is available through the brand's boutiques only.
