Breguet, one of the connoisseurs of traditional luxury watchmaking, added two new versions to the Tradition model family.
The newly added models are offered in two different case options as 18K white or rose gold. The cases, which have the typical Breguet design concept with coin-back patterned case bands that have become the symbol of the brand, are designed in a diameter of 40mm. Scratch-resistant sapphire crystals are present on both sides of the cases, which offers an elegant stance with its straight lug design. Besides the winding crown with the Breguet emblem, the case also sports a pusher located at 10:00 for the month indicator's setting and is water-resistant to 30 meters.
It is possible to show the dials as the most crucial parts of the new models. On the dial, which reveals a large part of the movement with its skeleton-style design, the sub-dial located at 12 o'clock displays the time. The sub-dial, which features a hand-crafted Clous de Paris pattern, hosts Roman numeral markers and Breguet-style blued hands.
On the edge of the lower half of the dial, a Retrograde style month indicator, which displays through the blue hand attached to the center, is added. Thanks to the skeleton form and the unique architecture of movement, components such as the carefully machined main plate, bridges, blued flat head screws, barrel, and balance wheel are entirely enjoyable.
Another prominent part of the model is its movement. The automatic Caliber 505Q movement, which was designed and produced in-house, features a reverse in-line lever escapement with silicon horns, a silicon balance spring and a wide barrel positioned in the center. The movement, which is wound by a solid gold rotor that attracts attention with its unique design, also employs the para-chute mechanism, which is developed by master watchmaker himself and considered as the ancestor of today's shock-protection systems.
Both models come on hand-stitched alligator straps accompanied by folding clasps made of a material compatible with the case.
