Bulgari is expanding the GMT-enabled model family of the legendary Aluminum collection, which it recently added to its product line, with a new reference. Limited to only 1000 pieces, the model also emphasizes the brand's connection with Italy.
Bulgari Aluminum collection, which was introduced in 1998 and had tremendous success as soon as it was released, attracted great attention with its concept that combines aluminum and rubber materials in the same design. The collection, which got into the Bulgari product group once again at Geneva Watch Days 2020, also gained models equipped with the GMT function, for the first time in its history, after the three-handed and chronograph versions.
The latest addition to the cult product line, the reference takes Amerigo Vespucci, one of the most beautiful boats in the world, as its theme. The three-masted boat, named after the Italian explorer Amerigo Vespucci (1451-1592), waves the Italian flag on the seas of the world while also being used as a training ship for the cadets of the Italian Navy.
Sharing the same design language as the standard models, the new version stands out with the yellow/white details used on the dial and the characteristic Aluminum GMT lettering inspired by the Italian flag.
The model, which promises both sporty and comfortable use with its aluminum case designed with a diameter of 40mm and a height of 9.70mm, comes on a black strap made of rubber material with aluminum links, as in the bezel.
The Sellita SW 330-based BVL Caliber 192 that brings the model to life operates at a frequency of 4Hz (28,800vph) and offers a power reserve time of up to 50 hours when fully wound.
Limited to only 1000 units, Bulgari Aluminum GMT Amerigo Vespucci Special Edition (Ref. 103702) carries a price tag of EUR 3,950.
