The Octo Collection, which is one of the flagship product lines of the famous Italian origin brand, is under the spotlight with the highly acclaimed Ultranero series.
The Octo series, which is a collection of flag ships from the famous Italian brand, is colored with new models added to the Ultranero product line this year.
The new models added to the collection are offered in a case measuring 41mm in diameter and 10.4mm in thickness. Thanks to its successful design, the black DLC (diamond like carbon) coated stainless steel case offers optimum wearing comfort even for smaller wrists. The case sports AR coated scratch resistant sapphire crystals on each side. Let me add that, the newly added Bulgari Octo Ultranero Americas Limited Edition model features an illustration of North & South America on the caseback.
There are three different color schemes for the three versions in the collection. Beside the all black version, there is also a red and a blue color (Americas Edition) themed timepiece in the Ultranero collection. All hour markers and hands are finished to match the color theme being worked on.
The models are powered by the brand’s in-house movement Caliber Ref. BLV191 Solotempo. Self-winding movement beats at 4Hz and offers an impressive power reserve of 50 hours when fully wound. The movement is equipped with a date display function besides timekeeping and a ceramic rotor bearing. Decorated with Cotes de Genève motif, the movement is visible through the sapphire crystal display caseback.
All models are offered on black rubber straps that we are familiar with from the other versions in the Octo Collection. The strap’s design fits perfectly with the highly faceted lines of the Octo case. The strap is secured with a Bulgari signed pin buckle made of black DLC coated stainless steel.
Inspired by the designs of the legendary watch designer Gerald Genta, the Octo collection continues to amaze watch aficionados since its first release in 2012. The collection, which managed Bulgari t break major records continuously, deserves to be called “unique” with its genuine design that practically looks like nothing else. For the Ultranero product line that was added to the collection in 2016, it will not be wrong to say that it is the group that hosts the most original models in the Octo collection as the all black variants look even more unique than the others.
The new Bulgari Octo Ultranero Americas Limited Edition is only available in a limited span of 250 units. All three models are retailed for the same price which is US $ 6,950 (US list).
