Certina is expanding its price/performance star diver watch DS Action Diver 43mm model family with a new all-black version.
The well-established brand, which continues its activities under the Swatch Group, is one of the leading names in the entry-level mechanical Swiss watches segment, especially with its models with a high price/performance ratio. Certina, which has never been on the radar of watch enthusiasts with its rich product line, adds a brand new model to the popular Certina DS Action Diver 43mm model family. The new model, designed in the lines of the modern DS Action Diver, is a candidate to establish a throne in the hearts of its users who like tactical style models with its all-black appearance.
The new model comes with a 43mm diameter and 13.10mm thick case. The stylish case brings the sporty style of the concept to the top with the black PVD coating applied to the stainless steel material. The case, which has a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, surrounded by a uni-directional diver-type bezel on the front, allows professional use thanks to its WR300M rating compatible with ISO 6425 standard. The case sports a screw-in winding crown and a solid case back with a stylish turtle relief.
The black theme, which dominates the model in general, finds its place in the dial part as well. Snow-white hands and indices placed on a matte black background offer excellent readability with the help of the resulting contrast. The dial components, on which SLN phosphor material is applied, allow time to be followed clearly and quickly even in low-light environments. The date window, which is the only extra feature of the model, is located at 3 o'clock.
At the heart of the Certina DS Action Diver, 43mm All-Black is the Caliber Powermatic 80.611. Developed by ETA, a member of the Swatch Group, the automatic movement maintains its leading position among entry-level mechanical calibers with a power reserve of 80 hours when fully wound.
The stylish model is available on a black NATO strap and a black PVD-coated buckle made of nylon made from recycled plastic waste collected from the oceans.
Offering an excellent price/performance with a list price of CHF 895.00, Certina DS Action Diver 43mm All-Black is not available through authorized dealers as the brand is no longer officially represented in our country. We hope Swatch Group changes its mind on this and presents the brand (together with Mido) to Turkish watch lovers again.
