Chopard announced its new model, designed and produced specifically for the Dubai Watch Week 2023 watch event, which started today.
Dubai Watch Week, considered one of the most important organizations in the watch world, is held between 16 and 20 November this year. Our editor-in-chief Serdar OAL, representing Horobox, is attending the event, which brings together many important names of luxury watchmaking under the same roof.
Chopard L.U.C Strike One is among the new models introduced as part of Dubai Watch Week 2023. L.U.C Strike One, introduced by the well-established brand in 2022, features an 18K white gold and green dial combination for DWW.
The case, designed with a diameter of 40mm and a height of 9.86mm, is produced from 18K white gold specifically for the version. The elegant case, with sapphire crystals on both sides, is accompanied by an 18K white gold winding crown with a pusher.
The stylish dial of the new model is also made of 18K white gold. At the center of the sector dial, designed with a ground color of galvanized green/grey tones, is the hour ring decorated with a hand-applied Guilloché honeycomb pattern and circular motifs. The time is kept track of on the elegant dial with rhodium-plated hands and indices. Chime/Silent status can be monitored from the perforated section placed at 12 o'clock.
Chopard L.U.C Strike One (Ref. 161949-1001) is powered by the Caliber L.U.C 96-32-L movement, designed and produced in-house. A rotor made of 22K solid gold provides energy to the 33-jewel/275-component automatic movement. The movement, which oscillates at a frequency of 4Hz (28,800vph), also impresses with its 65-hour power reserve when fully wound. The movement, which has both COSC certification and the Poinçon de Genève seal, features hours, minutes, and small seconds (with stop-second function), as well as a Chime function with a solid sapphire gong.
The model, which is limited to only 25 pieces, is accompanied by a black alligator leather strap and 18K white gold pin buckle. Although there is no announced price for the model yet, it is expected to be around 75,000 EUR.
