Corum’s flagship collection, Admiral, takes the harmony of black and phosphorous colors to another dimension with its Admiral 42 Automatic Full Black models.
The first Admiral’s Cup model, born in the 1960s, was an unusual yacht watch with a water-resistant square case. However, we recall the Admiral’s Cup model with its evolution in 1983, featuring a dodecagon case and nautical pennants on the dial. Dedicated to the world-famous races, this collection has not only evolved into an integral part of Corum over the years but has also become one of the most iconic timepieces inspired by the sea in the world of luxury watchmaking.
Also known as the signature detail of the Admiral Collection models, the pennants in the dial act as hour markers. Each of these pennants represents the numbers per the International Code of Signs.
Unlike its colorful predecessors, the new Corum Admiral 42 Automatic Full Black models come in a black PVD-coated stainless steel. 42mm case is equipped with anti-glare treated sapphire crystals on both sides and is water-resistant up to 50 meters.
Each model features a blackened brass dial with sectors. The dial accents featured in blue, red, yellow, green, and orange tones distinguish the new models from each other. Skeleton style Dauphine hands are also black PVD coated. Thanks to the Super-LumiNOVA applied accents, the dial is legible.
Corum Admiral 42 Automatic Full Black models beat with the automatic movement Caliber CO 395 that offers a 42-hour power reserve when fully wound.
A black rubber strap and a black PVD coated buckle complement the watches. Each version is limited to a span of 100 units only.
