Introduced on January 26, 2023, Omega's new technology Spirate is getting ready to redistribute technology cards in the Swiss watchmaking industry.
The new leader of the precision category in the mechanical watch arena has been announced. Omega promises a daily accuracy of only 0 to +2 seconds, thanks to Spirate, its patented technology used for the first time in the Speedmaster Super Racing Co-Axial Chronometer Chronograph model.
The brand that changed the game in 2013 with Aqua Terra, which has a magnetic resistance of 15,000 Gauss, is here with another astonishing technology a decade after. Thanks to the newly developed technology that allows ultra-precise balance spring adjustment, the game of chronometric precision is taken one step further.
Caliber 9920, the first movement equipped with this technology, has a magnetic field resistance of 15,000 Gauss and a power reserve of 60 hours. The caliber, which has a Bi-Compax layout chronograph, has 54 jewels and beats at 28800 vibrations per hour. The watch also has the METAS quality certificate.
The model, which has a stainless steel case with a diameter of 44.25mm and a thickness of 14.9mm, interprets the sporty details specific to the Speedmaster series in a modern language. Reinforcing the racing theme with the yellow accents used on the bezel, dial, and hands, the new model also includes a yellow-black NATO-type fabric strap in its presentation box. There are sapphire crystals on the front and back of the watch. The new model offers resistance to 50 meters of water pressure.
The characteristic font on the date disc, the unique dial pattern, and the uniquely colored seconds hand set the Speedmaster Super Racing model apart from the other models in the collection. The Super-LumiNOVA filling on the dial also glows yellow in the dark, another model-specific detail.
Omega Speedmaster Super Racing (Ref. 329.30.44.51.01.003) comes on a stainless steel bracelet featuring a micro-adjusting folding clasp. As of 26.01.2023 the new model retails at 233,500.00 TL and will be available for sale through authorized dealers very soon.
