We all agree that the importance of design and aesthetics cannot be denied, even when it comes to reading time. When choosing a model, we do not just look at its brand, we examine its details, we want to read the story behind it and want its design to affect us. Brands are also looking for ways to provide sensitivity and create a story, as well as reveal the aesthetics that will set it apart from others; seeing the design and aesthetics as an important element of competitiveness. As a result of the battles in this context, we see that precision and design in the early 20th century enabled the leading brands in the Swiss luxury watchmaking industry to dominate the global market.

The fact that wristwatches became a trend in the interwar period increased aesthetic concerns and turned them into fashion accessories and created a woman-centered market. With the integration of watches into fashion, many jewelry manufacturers (and fashion brands) also turned their eyes to this area. While this trend, which started in the 1920s, continues without slowing down today, many brands we see in the field of jewelry - fashion often show themselves in the field of watchmaking, with models that meet the definition of horology.

The traditional business model in this concept was accompanied by collaboration with the leading names in fashion design and jewelry making, on the one hand, with solidarity with Swiss watch manufacturers on the other hand. Dior was the first brand to adopt a serious diversification strategy, especially in watches. Putting watchmaking at the center of its brand strategy in 1968, Dior introduced its first collection with the initials "CD". The brand, which has earned a reputation for watchmaking and fashion in time, continues to attract the attention of both watchmakers and fashion followers with its new models.
