Girard-Perregaux has added a new model to its successful model family Laureato 42mm collection in the Sport-Chic segment, which draws attention with its pink gold and onyx components.
Introduced in 1975, Laureato found its place in the GP catalogs again with the limited versions introduced in 2016 by the well-established brand, and fixed its place among the main product groups of the brand with the 5th generation model family introduced the next year. The successful collection has expanded with a new version added to the best-seller sub-group 42mm series.
The new model comes with a modern Laureato-style case designed with a diameter of 42mm and a height of 10.68mm. The case, which is made of 18K rose gold material, includes stylish glossy transitions as well as matte surfaces. The sporty case, with sapphire crystals on the front and back, is waterproof up to 50 meters.
The dial, which is another distinguishing feature of the model, is produced from onyx material, which attracts attention with its deep black tone. The dial, which we remember from the Infinity Edition model produced by the brand for the famous luxury multi-brand chain store Wempe in 2020, is home to 18K pink gold components. There is no phosphor application on the dial, which offers a simple but striking image with the effect of the black-colored date disc.
Girard-Perregaux Laureato 42mm Pink Gold & Onyx is powered by the in-house designed and manufactured Caliber GP01800 movement. Beating at a frequency of 4Hz (28.800vph), the elegant movement offers up to 54 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
The new version is accompanied by a three-piece bracelet, which we are familiar with from the model family. A three-piece folding clasp completes the bracelet, which features matte and glossy surfaces.
The list price for the model, which is planned to reach sales points by September 2022, is CHF 51,800.
