Girard-Perregaux introduced its new limited model under the Absolute Collection product group. The model, limited to 88 units, will be offered for sale only in the boutiques of the brand operating within the borders of China.
Girard-Perregaux is launching the new Laureato Absolute Infrared Limited Edition model to celebrate the opening of its first boutique in China and the 230th anniversary of the manufacture.
The new model comes in a 44mm diameter case designed in the current Laureato Absolute form. The stylish case is made of black PVD coated titanium, with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal on the front and a solid case back made of the same material on the back. Sporting a GP signed screw-lock winding crown, the case can withstand water pressure up to 300 meters.
The dial, which is the main distinguishing feature of the model, is made of Forged Carbon material. The stylish and sporty dial is home to unique patterns in each specimen due to the nature of the material. The dial features thick red filled markers and hands. The hour markers that bend from the minute scale and then flatten towards the dial present a volcanic appearance with the effect of the color theme. At 6 o'clock of the dial, the date window just above the hour marker catches the eye.
The new model is powered by the Caliber GP03300-1060/27, designed and manufactured by the brand in-house. Automatic movement with 27-jewels/217 pieces beats at a frequency of 4Hz (28.800vph) and offers a minimum power reserve of 42 hours when fully wound.
The stylish model is complemented by a black rubber strap with a textured top and matching red stitching. A micro-adjustable folding clasp made of black PVD coated titanium secures the strap. The list price for the model, which will be available in sales points within China as of June, is CHF 10,680.
