Grand Seiko introduced the new Elegance Collection. The new product line features four different models equipped with hand-wound movements with subsidiary second counter.
The Elegance Collection is an all-new line for Grand Seiko that includes four new models with two limited edition versions. The new models are offered in 39mm x 11.6mm cases designed in-line with Grand Seiko style with slight modifications to fit the slimmer and elegance character of the new collection. The cases sport scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both sides.
Another distinctive feature of the new models is the dial design. The dials are equipped with Arabic numerals at 12 and 6. The rest of the hour markers are in sword shape that matches nicely with the hands. Slightly domed to offer a retro-inspired look, the dials are finished in black, blue, brownish red and white tones. The power reserve indicator rests at 3 o’clock while the subsidiary seconds counter, a first for Grand Seiko, rotates at 9 o’clock.
The new models are powered by the Caliber 9S63. 33 jewels hand-wound movement offers 72 hours power reserve when fully wound. Besides hours and minutes, the movement is equipped with power reserve indicator and small seconds counter feature. As per Grand Seiko standards, the movement is adjusted to -3 and +5 seconds a day.
The models in the collection are offered with crocodile straps made in black, brown and blue.
