Grand Seiko introduced two new models inspired by nature and the seasons. Standing out with their ice blue dial tone, the models are produced exclusively for the US market.
Grand Seiko continues to draw attention with its nature and seasons inspired theme, which it has frequently included in its models in recent years. The brand, which is the most important name of luxury watchmaking in the Far East, brings traditional Japanese culture together with watch lovers. Two new models added to the Grand Seiko catalogs today join the theme of nature and the seasons with their ice-blue textured dials that evoke the frozen trunks of Arashiyama's (Storm Mountain) famous bamboo forests.
Both models come in stainless steel cases designed with a diameter of 40mm. The stylish cases that offer 100m water resistance dazzle with their polished, flat surfaces obtained by Zaratsu polishing, which takes its name from the Sallaz technique applied in the German machines of the same name. Stylish metal bracelets accompany the cases, which stand out with their signature forms in Grand Seiko's design approach. Crocodile leather straps are also available for all models.
Ice blue dials, which are one of the symbolic details of the models, are accompanied by applique indices and hands that reveal the importance Grand Seiko attaches to details with their diamond-polished designs. Both dials share hours, minutes, seconds, and date features, while the dial of SBGA471 also hosts a power reserve indicator.
One of the new models, the SBGA471 is powered by the Spring Drive Caliber 9R65 movement, which stands out with its 72-hour power reserve and +/- 15 seconds per month accuracy. The SBGH295 comes to life with the automatic Caliber 9S85 with a Hi-Beat rate and 55 hours of power reserve.
