Greubel Forsey introduced the farewell version of the GMT Earth model family, which is perhaps one of the most original designs in the world of watches.
Calendars were showing in 2011 when Greubel Forsey introduced the concept, which has become a kind of brand’s signature. The unique concept, which continued to evolve, meets watch enthusiasts for the last time by its new model released a decade after its debut.
The new model hosts all the signature details that define the GMT Earth concept: an off-centered time display hosting a small seconds counter, the 12-hour GMT indicator with a bright red hand, the 24-second Tourbillon, placed just below the time display at an angle of 25 degrees, and of course, the 3D world figure that gives the model its rightful reputation.
Launched as the last version of the series, the model draws attention with its titanium case as well as its movement with plates made of titanium. The rubber and crocodile straps offered with the model are secured by a folding clasp, also made of titanium.
This original model family, of which we had the opportunity to review a different version on HoroboxTV screens recently, is getting ready to take its place in the archives by its final version limited to 11 units.
