The boutique brand H. When H. Moser & Cie. introduced the Heritage Pilot's Watch, a retro model inspired by aviation in 2018, it attracted great attention. Exclusively designed for the Swiss luxury retailer Bucherer, the model has a conventional design unlike any other watch in the brand's product range made people think about the question: "Could it be the beginning of a new era for Moser & Cie?". The brand kind of answered this question with the Heritage Center Seconds Funky Blue introduced a year later.

The model, which attracts attention with its classic pilot's watch theme, comes in a 42mm diameter and 11.1mm high case. The case, which is also the thinnest model in the product group, is equipped with sapphire crystals on both sides and is made of stainless steel. The case, which reinforces the retro look with its wired lugs, like pocket watches that were transformed into wristwatches by soldered wires to serve as lugs, is accompanied by a large crown with the Moser logo.

When we look at the model's dial, we can understand what the Funky part in its name refers to. The background, which gradually gets darker from the center outwards, directly evokes the funky 70s. Equipped with large applique numeral indices and sword-style thick hands, as befits a classic pilot's watch, the dial offers excellent legibility in almost any environment thanks to the Super-LumiNOVA phosphor application. On the dial, where the second hand is in the center, the scale on the outer part displays the minutes.

The model is powered by the manufacture Caliber HMC200. The 27-jewels automatic movement, designed with a central rotor, operates at a frequency of 3Hz (21.600vph) and offers 72 hours (3 days) power reserve when fully wound. Equipped with a Straumann hairspring made by Moser's sister company Precision Engineering, the movement is visible through the sapphire crystal case back.

H. Moser & Cie. Heritage Centre Seconds Funky Blue is worn on a hand-stitched, beige-colored kudu leather strap with contrasting white stitching. The steel pin-buckle is engraved with the Moser logo. The model also determines the entry-level price scale of the brand with a CHF 13,900 price tag.
