Hamilton Intra-Matic Chronograph H Hand-Wound

Hamilton Intra-Matic Chronograph H Hand-Wound

Hamilton, which has gained a solid place among the entry and mid-level Swiss automatic watches with the retro-inspired models introduced one after another in recent years, is preparing to carry the Heritage style to the wrists once again with a new series.

The newly introduced series uses the Intra-Matic platform, one of the brand's most successful vintage-chronograph model families. Sharing the basic design elements of the collection visually, the new models take the Heritage concept one step further with hand-wound movements.

The new model family comes in a stainless steel case measuring 40mm in diameter and 14.35mm in height. The case, featuring a slightly curved sapphire crystal on the front and a solid cover on the back, can withstand water pressure up to 100 meters. The case, which includes symbol details such as piston-style chronograph pushers and a large crown, completes the concept with its vintage theme.

The Hamilton Intra-Matic Chronograph H Hand-Wound comes with two different dial options with a black/white contrast color combination, known as Panda and Reverse Panda in watch terminology. Super-LumiNOVA filled, faceted markers and baton hands are accompanied by the classic Hamilton logo on the dials, as well as Mechanical inscription, indicating the hand-wound movement. On the outside of the dial, which does not have a date display, the Tachymeter scale catches the eye.

The Caliber H-51, based on the ETA Valjoux 7753, gives life to the new models. The hand-wound movement, which also features a Bi-Compax chronograph in addition to its timekeeping function, operates at a frequency of 4Hz (28.800vph) and offers 60 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
