HYT which synthesise fluid mechanics with horology introduced a new model; H4 Gotham.
H4 indicates to a new opening page at brand’s history. As a first in the brand’s history, watch’s case made out of solid 3DTP carbon.
3DTP have usage in aviation industry and advanced level engineering designs due to its extreme lightness and durability.
It comprises carbon threads which are woven to a maximum diameter of 7 microns and with a thickness layer of 0.15 mm.
Along with all these tehcnological innovations the watch’s strap formed by combining NomexTM and rubber.
The brand’s CEO Vincent Perriard states that “The general idea of the H4 Gotham is to be more sporty and more technical”.
H4’s mechanism designed at optimum level by considering customer’s feedbacks. For this purpose, H4’s mechanism’s all layers designed independetly from others.
The upper layer designed as open top; hence a lot of elements can be seen and they didn’t use a flat dial. All of the wheel system, including the spring, are parts of the show.
While at the lower layer, the brand’s signature designs; pistons joining the show.
Whether its vertical positioning scheme is the same as previous watches, components positionings ,which encircle the pistons, are completely different.
First time with this watch, HYT preferred to engrave indexes on bezel; thus they achieve more spacious space on dial. In order to increase roominess feeling the case’s measurement increased to 51mm.
Another difference that the watch features is coverback made of sapphire crystal. The glass surrounded by chrome covering and this feature has two duties; first, giving a smokey look to glass and the second increasing visuality through creating a mirror effect at mechanism side.
With the variety of light games, H4 exceedingly remunerates its name.
At front side red color domination can be noticed. Thus they tried to catch a “bloody” look.
The new NYT H4 Gotham comes at a price of CHF 77.000 Swiss Francs / € 77.000 Euro / $ 79.000 USD.
