HYT puts its signature on very special watches designed with inspiration from the magical world of fluid mechanics. Just like the H5 model, which was released in the scope of Watches & Wonders 2020. Don't let the dimensions of the 48.8mm x 20.08mm stainless steel case, which seem large on paper, deceive you. H5 is one of the rare brands that managed to convert its big sizes in favor and is determined to continue this tradition in the H5 model. Thanks to the curved sapphire crystal, that surrounds the large diameter and serves as a bezel and partly a case, all the characteristic design details of HYT are exposed. Moreover, the H5 is very comfortable on the wrist, thanks to the no-lugs case and special strap design. The case is also equipped with a sapphire crystal display case back and is water-resistant to 50 meters.
The H5 model features the hand-wound Caliber 501, which is fully developed and produced in-house. The 41-jewel movement operating at 28800vph has a 65-hour power reserve. When you look at the dial of the H5, or rather the upper part of the movement, you encounter an astonishing view. The hours are displayed thanks to two different liquids, one transparent and the other colored and non-interfering, inside the capillary tube surrounding the dial. The liquids inside the capillary tube are moving thanks to two bellows located at the bottom of the movement. The minute counter is located just above these bellows and is shown by the conventional pointer method. There are small seconds to the left of the minute display and remaining power reserve indicators to the right.
HYT H5 Ref. H12352 comes on a gray rubber strap that is secured by a titanium buckle. At this point, I would like to remind people who think of having a watch should hurry because this model is limited to 25 units.
