IWC is expanding its Big Pilot's Watch 43 model family, introduced in 2021, with a new version. The new model dazzles with its lush green dial with a sunray background.
Today, IWC is among the first names that come to mind, when it comes to classic pilot's watches. Pilot's Watches, one of the core collections in the rich product line of the well-established brand, are considered one of the best players in this segment, not only in terms of design but also in terms of technical features.
Undoubtedly, one of the most iconic subgroups in the IWC Pilot's Watches collection is the Big Pilot's Watch model family. The most important feature of this family, which has been in the collection for nearly 20 years, was its 46mm oversized case. The model family, known as the most important representative of the classic pilot's watch concept in modern times, had a relatively compact version last year, Big Pilot's Watch 43. This newest addition to the Pilot Watches collection, which reinterprets the design details of the Big Pilot concept with a more wearable measure, says hello to a new version today.
The new model comes with a 43mm diameter and 13.6mm high case. The case, which measures 53mm lug-to-lug, hosts matte and glossy surfaces. On the front of the case, there is a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, which is resistant not only to scratches but also to sudden pressure drops. Equipped with a sapphire crystal display case back and a screw-down crown, the case is waterproof up to 100 meters.
The new version, which is newly added to the young model family, hosts a new dial that attracts attention with its striking green color. Super-LumiNOVA filled thick hands and large indices serve on the dial, which takes on many shades of green under the light coming from different angles with its sunray patterned background.
The new model features the in-house Caliber 82100. Equipped with the patented Pellaton winding system, the automatic movement beats at a frequency of 4Hz (28,800vph) and offers a power reserve time of up to 60 hours when fully wound.
Added to the product line as a standard (not limited) reference, the stylish model is available on a matching green rubber strap. For the model, which is fixed to the wrist with an IWC signed folding clasp, a large selection of rubber straps is available equipped with the EasX-CHANGE system.
The list price for the model, which is available through the brand's boutiques as well as on the online e-commerce website, is EUR 9,100.
