IWC has added two new references to its Big Pilot’s Watch 43 family, which hosts 43mm versions of the iconic product group Big Pilot's Watch. Models designed under the Spitfire theme are offered with titanium and bronze case options.
Big Pilot's Watch 43 collection, which reinterprets the Big Pilot's Watch concept, which is famous for its huge diameter approaching 47mm, with a more modest size, is expanding with two newly added models.
The new models come with a 43mm diameter and 14.4mm high case. The case is available in bronze, the popular alternative material of recent years, as well as titanium known for its light and durable structure. The 100 meters water-resistant case features an AR-coated sapphire crystal that is resistant to scratches as well as sudden pressure changes, on the front side. The Spitfire illustrated case back is solid titanium for both material options.
The two models differ from each other with model-specific dial designs as well as case materials. The bronze version (IW329702) comes with a khaki green dial, while the titanium version (IW329701) comes with a matte black dial. The khaki green dial uses a design language closer to the classic pilot's watch theme. The black dial, on the other hand, refers to the Type B-Uhren style models with the minute track on the outside and the hour track on the inside. Both dials are home to Super-LumiNOVA phosphor-filled components in beige with old radium effect.
Caliber 82100, which is the brand's own design and production, gives life to new models. Equipped with the patented Pellaton winding system, the automatic movement offers a power reserve time of up to 60 hours.
The bronze model comes with a green buffalo leather strap/bronze buckle combination, while the titanium model is available with a black calfskin strap/titanium folding clasp. The list prices for the models are as follows;
