IWC's elegant model family, the Portofino Chronograph, greets watch lovers with a new model that includes important updates such as a single-tone dial and an in-house movement.
Portofino, which has been within the main product groups of the famous brand since 1984, is among the favorites of many watch enthusiasts, both men, and women, with its simple and dignified design elements as well as various case sizes. The Portofino Chronograph 39, which is in the chronograph subgroup of the model family, welcomes a new model that has been updated with fine touches today.
The elegant case, measuring 39mm in diameter and 13mm in height, now comes with a sapphire crystal case back. The stainless steel case draws attention with its glossy surface form and soft lines. Accompanied by an IWC-signed crown and a pair of piston-style chronograph buttons, the stylish case is water resistant to 50 meters.
Although the dial of the new model has the same background color as the model introduced last year, it now hosts rhodium-plated accents instead of gold. Equipped with stick indices and leaf-style hands, the dial reinforces its elegance with stylized Roman numeral indexes located at 12 and 6 o'clock positions.
Another important change is seen in the movement section. Ref: IW391502 is powered by the Caliber 69355 movement. The in-house movement, bearing the signature of ValFleurier, hosts the integrated column-wheel chronograph feature. The automatic movement operates at 4Hz (28,800vph) and offers a power reserve of 46 hours when fully wound.
An important update greets us in the strap section. The beige calfskin strap, fastened to the wrist by a steel folding clasp, promises a practical experience with its design suitable for the brand's quick strap changing system.
The list price for the IWC Portofino Chronograph 39 Ref: IW391502, added to the collection as a standard model, is EUR 7,350.
