IWC Schaffhausen announced several novelties from the new Jubilee Collection, designed exclusively to commemorate the brand’s 150th anniversary. SIHH 2018 exhibition is set for the launch of the rest of the new models, which contains references to the current product groups of the famous brand like Portugieser, Portofino, Pilot’s Watches and Da Vinci model families.

During the event, which was held at the new factory that the brand is currently constructing, our Executive Editor Serdar OAL had the privilege to see the announced models in person among other exclusive press members from all over the world.

The collection, which is designed to commemorate this occasion, also features a special model inspired by the Pallweber pocket watches of the late 1800s.The new model is the brand’s first wrist watch with digital hour and minute displays.

The common feature of all the models in the collection is their multi-layer lacquer in blue or white colors. Inspired by the Ref. IW325 an early model from the Portuguiser Collection, the dials, which reminds the vintage enamel dials, are accompanied by blue hands on the white ones and rhodium-plated hands on the blue ones. All the models are offered with black alligator straps and also bear the Jubilee insignia “150 Years”, either as a medallion or as an engraving.
