Jaeger-LeCoultre Duometre Spherotourbillon Magnétite Gray
The first model to be introduced is the Jaeger-LeCoultre Spherotourbillon. Designed with a case made of 18K pink gold measuring 42mm in diameter, the dark gray dial of the model is designed in the form of a grainy surface that we see throughout the collection. The most interesting part of the model is undoubtedly the mechanism which is more like a work of art ... The Spherotourbillon escapement is in the heart of the movement. In the multi-axis Spherotourbillon system, which eliminates the negative effects of gravity on accuracy compared to the classic mono-axis Tourbillion systems, precise synchronization with a different source can be achieved effectively by the aid of a small seconds hand working with the Flyback principle.
The new Jaeger-LeCoultre Spherotourbillon has an interesting dial design. Just outside the offset formed timekeeping dial, the retrograde date indicator leaps out. The dial, which presents a highly complex image with a second sub-dial positioned at 6 o’clock and a second time slot indicator at 12 o’clock, finds a place to fit a pair of power reserve indicators, which are designed as two separate displays for the Dual-Wing operating principle.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Duometre Chronograph Magnétite Gray
If we look back on the Jaeger-LeCoultre Chronograph model, the most important detail is that the model is a timepiece solely designed to overcome the problem of accuracy in chronograph function watches. This problem is not new for the world of horology as it is a known fact that the gear train and the regulators face far more pressure when the chronograph is activated, causing poor and/or unstable accuracy. JLC aims to find a solution to this problem by designing the Jaeger-LeCoultre Chronograph model, which includes a separate gear train and barrel system for time keeping and chronograph functions.
Innovations are not only limited by the mechanism, but the model’s dial lay out also contains unusual details. The time-keeping function is displayed by a sub-dial located at 10 o’clock position while the second hand sweeps at the center. In addition to the details of the chronograph function, there are also two power reserve indicators in the gray color dial, which is accompanied by a set of hands made of pink gold.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Duometre Quantième Lunaire Magnétite Gray
The latest novelty from the newly announced collection is the Quantième Lunaire model. As its name implies, the timepiece bears a design based on the representation of functions related to the date (quantième) and the moon (lunaire). There are two different power reserve indicators, such as the other versions of the collection, which gives details of the design that is arranged in the direction of the principle of handling time and other complications separately. The time keeping is displayed on a sub-dial located at 2 o’clock position, while the date and month functions can be read by the other sub-dial placed at 10 o’clock. The magnetite gray dial is housed 18K pink gold case measuring 42mm in diameter.
There is no official price information for the models yet which are planned to be offered for sale with a combination of crocodile straps and 18K pink gold buckles.
