Another new model before the upcoming SIHH 2019 came from Jaeger-LeCoultre. The famous brand announced the Flinqué enameled version of the acclaimed Master Ultra-Thin Moon. The model is limited to only 100 pieces and stands out with its dark blue dial tone.
Master Ultra-Thin Moon is actually not a new model. The model, which has been shown in JLC catalogs since 2012, is among the most popular creations of the brand today. The new version of the model family offers stylish details that are refined with cosmetic touches.
The dial of the model is made with the Flinqué enamel technique. According to this technique, the dials are decorated with the classic Guilloche pattern, which is applied by hand instead of the mold. Then the enamel is applied to the patterned surface and finally the dial is baked and hardened. After the desired hardness is achieved the dial is polished to have its final look.
The revision in the dial is not limited to the enamel application and the eye-catching blue tone, of course. The dial features finer and slightly elongated hour markers along a polished moon figure on the moon and frosted finish date scale.
The new model shares the same details with the previous ones dial aside. Designed with a diameter of 39mm again, the case is slightly thicker at 10.04mm due to the multi-layer enamel dial.
The model is powered by the manufacture Caliber 925/2. 246-part ultra-thin automatic movement offers 43 hours of power reserve when fully wound. Featuring an 18K solid pink gold rotor, the movement also features luxurious decorative details such as Cotes de Genève patterned bridges, blued screws, and hand beveled main plate.
The model comes on dark blue alligator strap and an 18K white gold folding clasp.
