To celebrate its 185th anniversary, Jaeger-LeCoultre introduced a new version of their Reverso Tribute model family. The new model, Reverso Tribute Tourbillon Duoface (Ref. Q3926480), attracts attention with its flying tourbillon feature.
The new model comes in a beautifully crafted Reverso style case measuring 45.5 x 27.4 x 9.15 mm. In order to match with the importance of the occasion (and the flying tourbillon feature) the case is manufactured from Platinum, arguably the most luxurious metal used for watchmaking. Water resistant to 30 meters as expected, the case is equipped with scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both faces.
As per the Reverso concept, the model offers a two different dials, which are equipped with different functions. One of the dials are finished in sun ray blue and decorated with sword style hands and indices. The 60 seconds flying tourbillon is located at 6 o’clock. Thanks to the scale engraved on the tourbillon cage, the complication functions as a seconds display.
Unlike the simple look of this side, the other face of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Tourbillon Duoface (Ref. Q3926480) is designed more complex. Its silvered grained dial features a second time zone and a day/night indication. The small sub-dial is designed in silver tone while the screws are blued to highlight the traditional luxury concept of the model.
The new model is powered by the JLC manufacture movement Caliber 847. 31 jewels hand-wound movement beats at a frequency of 21.600vph and offers a 43-hour power reserve when fully wound. Functions are: hours, minutes, Tourbillon with seconds indicator, a second time zone, and Night & Day indicator.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Tourbillon Duoface (Ref. Q3926480) comes on a blue hand-stitched alligator strap. The strap is secured with a JLC signed folding clasp made of 18K white gold.
Limited to a span of 50 units only, the model is available with a MSRP of $ 123,000 (US list).
