Longines Conquest Heritage Central Power Reserve

Longines continues to emphasize its mastery of vintage-themed watches with its new model that moves the power reserve indicator to the center of the dial.

The story of Conquest, one of Longines' oldest collections, begins in 1954 with the Conquest Ref: 9001, the brand's first automatic and water-resistant watch. The new Heritage Central Power Reserve model is based on the Ref: 9028 model from 1959, which was the first model with a distinctive display consisting of two rotating discs in the center of the dial and a date window at 12 o'clock.

As we mentioned above, the Central Power Reserve is not actually a new invention. However, this does not include it among the commonly used complications. This special display shape, consisting of two discs, adds visual integrity to the dial with its central and symmetrical structure. In addition, the fact that the central power reserve is more readable than the smaller traditional indicators becomes an advantage for the user.

There are three different references in the new collection. All models share a stainless steel case designed with a diameter of 38mm. The elegantly designed case has scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glasses on both sides.

The collection includes three dial alternatives: champagne, anthracite, and black. In the center section of the stylish dial, accompanied by baton-style hands and indices, there is a power reserve indicator consisting of two discs and a date window at 12 o'clock.

Caliber L896.5 movement powers the new models. The 72-hour power reserve time offered by the automatic caliber developed by ETA specifically for Longines can be monitored with the indicator positioned in the center.
