The popular retro-diver model family of the famous brand, Longines Legend Diver, has been updated with two new dial colors.
The collection, which has been decorating the brand's catalogs since 2007, continues to expand with different dial colors. After the green dial and bronze case (without date function) model, introduced last year, two new gradient dials designed in blue and brown tones join the model family.
It is possible to call the modern Longines Legend Diver Collection a faithful reproduction of the Ref. 7042 diver’s model introduced in 1959. The Ref. 7042, which has already taken its place among the classics with its two winding crowns, its compressor-style case (which is considered oversized for its era), its inner rotating diver bezel, and its characteristic dial design, is of great importance to many collectors today.
The new models are based on the date version of the LLD Collection. Designed with a diameter of 42mm and a height of 13.5mm, the stainless steel case can withstand water pressure up to 300 meters. The case, featuring a curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the front and a solid steel cover on the back, sports a pair of screw-down winding crowns, one of which controls the diver bezel located inside.
The dial colors and model references added to the collection are as follows; L3.774.4.90.2 - Blue and L3.774.4.60.2 - Brown.
The models are powered by the Caliber L888.5 movement, which we know from previous versions. ETA A31.L11-based automatic movement offers up to 60 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
The list price for the models offered for sale with a leather strap suitable for the dial color and a standard stainless steel buckle is EUR 2,240.
