The story of Longines Silver Arrow dates back to 1955 when the brand organized an internal competition to find a name for its new model, designed with modern and innovative details. Among the 450 offers, the winner was the Silver Arrow, which we remember from Mercedes-Benz racing cars that gained great success in the 1950s.

Longines Silver Arrow comes in a stainless steel case made entirely of polished surfaces. The original model, produced in 1955, had a case diameter of approximately 35mm. For this Revival model, Longines preferred 38.50mm, which is a size suitable for both modern norms and nostalgic themes. The case offers a stylish and solid presence with a 19mm lug width, slightly thick lugs, and a crown resembling a hemisphere form. On the front of the case, there is a box-type sapphire crystal that mimics the hesalite crystal of the original model. The 30 meters water-resistant case features a solid case back with an engraved "Silver Arrow" supersonic plane illustration.

The dial of the model features a shiny metallic gray background, just like the original version from 1955. The simple dial features striated hour markers, leaf-style hands, and a stylish handwritten Silver Arrow logo, also referring to the original model. Thanks to the components applied with Super-LumiNOVA phosphor material, the dial offers sufficient legibility even in low light environments.

The new model comes to life with the Caliber L888.5 movement. Designed within the Swatch Group, which Longines is affiliated with, and based on the Caliber ETA A31.L11, the 21-jewels automatic movement operates at a frequency of 25,200vph and offers up to 72 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
