Longines brings the Spirit Collection, one of the most popular novelties of recent years, to the agenda with a new model. The new model, added to the Flyback subgroup, the flagship of the model family, is also a first for the series with the use of titanium material.
The new model comes with a case designed with a diameter of 41mm and a thickness of 17mm. The sporty case is made of ultra-light and durable Grade 5 titanium alloy, which distributes its relatively bulky dimensions comfortably on the wrist. There is a bezel on the front of the case that can rotate in two directions. The bezel equipped with a ceramic insert, enables the chronograph function to be used even in low-light environments with its SLN-coated numerals and symbols. The stylish case, with sapphire crystals on the front and back, offers 100M water resistance, which is quite sufficient for daily use for a sports-chronograph model, with the help of the screw-in winding crown.
The anthracite dial matches perfectly with the relatively dark color of titanium. Applique indices, sword-type hands, and chronograph sub-dials with different ground patterns help to read both time and chronograph measurements effortlessly. While SLN-filled components maximize legibility in almost any environment, the absence of a date window adds perfect symmetry to the Bi-Compax chronograph dial.
The new model is powered by the Caliber L791.4 movement, equipped with the Flyback feature and automatic Bi-Compax chronograph function. The movement, which is a modified version of the ETA-Valjoux 7753 by adding a column wheel and Flyback feature, impresses with its engineering and non-magnetic silicon balance spring, as well as its 68-hour power reserve when fully wound.
The model, which has a metal bracelet made of Grade 5 titanium alloy and textile strap options designed to suit the general character of the model, manages to be at the top of the shopping list of many sports chronograph fans, especially users who want to experience the sporty and bold lines of the Spirit Flyback with the comfort of titanium.
