For Hublot, one of the favorite brands of the LVMH Group, we would not be wrong to say “the master of the materials and colors (especially the vibrant tones)”. It is quite common for a brand whose motto is “Art of Fusion” to produce watches from different materials and to surprise us by collaborating with many people and institutions in different fields. Hublot Big Bang MP-11 Red Magic, which brings together these differences with horology, was among the novelties introduced to the watch enthusiasts at the LVMH Dubai Watch Week 2020.
Hublot brought a new experience to luxury watchmaking in 2018 by developing the first bright-colored, high-tech ceramic. Both this ceramic alloy, developed in the R&D department and the metallurgical-material laboratories of the brand, and the process are protected by three patents. The secret of this glamorous material is finding the right balance between temperature and pressure to keep the red pigments intact. The production of the material led to other research, opening new ways for the brand in both aesthetics and performance.
Moving on this path, Hublot chose a special red ceramic for the Big Bang MP-11, symbolizing power, passion, effort, and grandeur. This completely polished 45mm case and bezel made of red ceramic material offer a distinctive contrast with iconic 'H' shaped screws made of black titanium and rubber components from the brand's signature details. We can say bold, striking and innovative for the design of the watch using these elements.
Embodying the Art of Fusion, Hublot Big Bang MP-11 Red Magic beats with the manufacture self-winding Caliber HUB9011 movement. The skeletonized movement, which is enjoyed through the sapphire crystals, provides 14 days of power reserve when fully wound. The motorsports inspired indicator displays the power reserve.
The Hublot Big Bang MP-11 Red Magic (Ref. 911.CF.0113.RX), limited to only 100 pieces, is complemented by a black, striped rubber strap and a black-plated titanium buckle. MSRP is 81,000 CHF.
