MB&F Legacy Machine Perpetual 18K Yellow Gold Blue Dial

MB&F, one of the well-known names for exotic timepieces, introduced the new version added to the flagship Legacy Machine Perpetual model family, which was included in the product group for the first time in 2015. The model, which is limited to only 25 pieces, draws attention with its 18K yellow gold case and dial finished in a striking blue tone.

MB&F, a boutique brand that reinterprets traditional watchmaking with an innovative and modern approach, has added a new version to the Legacy Machine Perpetual model family. Legacy Machine Perpetual, which has been adorning the MB&F catalogs since 2015, has attracted the attention of watch enthusiasts with models including Grade 950 platinum, 18K pink and white gold as well as a titanium version. The new model, which is limited to only 25 as in many versions of the past, comes with an 18K yellow gold case, which is a first in the series, and a vibrant blue dial.

The 44mm x 17.5mm case, which we are familiar with from the previous models, is made of 18K yellow gold for this model. On both sides of the case, which consists of 69 components, scratch-resistant sapphire crystals with an anti-reflective coating on both inside and outside are used. The mighty case is again water-resistant up to 30 meters / 3 bars.

The renowned movement designer Stephen McDonnell developed the hand-wound caliber inside the model exclusively for MB&F. The movement, which consists of 41jewels/581 different parts, brings a modern perspective to the perpetual calendar function featuring dial-side complication and mechanical processor system architecture with an inbuilt safety mechanism. Equipped with double mainspring barrels and a bespoke 14 mm balance wheel with traditional regulating screws visible on top, the movement offers superlative hand finishing throughout respecting 19th-century style including internal bevel angles highlighting handcraft; polished bevels; Geneva waves; hand-made engravings.

Operating at a frequency of 18,000bph / 2.5Hz, the movement offers a 72-hour power reserve when fully wound. Functions and indications are; hours, minutes, day, date, month, retrograde leap year and power reserve indicators.

The model, which comes with a hand-stitched blue alligator leather strap, is accompanied by a folding clasp made of 18K yellow gold matching the case.
