One of the boutique names of exotic models, MB&F added a new version to the Legacy Machine Split Escapement model family that it included in the product group in 2017. The new model attracts attention with its titanium case and a glamorous green dial.
The Legacy Machine Split Escapement Collection, which first appeared in the MB&F catalogs in 2017, was hosting four different versions, each presented with an 18K white gold case. All of the timepieces that are separated by dial colors and processing techniques were prepared as limited production models. Famous brand recently added a new version to this interesting collection.
MB&F Legacy Machine Split Escapement Titanium / Green Dial comes with a case of 44mm x 17.5mm that we are familiar with from other versions of the series. However, the case was made of ultra-light Grade 5 titanium this time instead of 18K white gold. Therefore, it is possible to say that it is the most comfortable version of the model family.
The case is equipped with scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both sides as well as a large winding crown at 2 o’clock position like the previous versions.
While the new model’s dial has the same design as the previous versions in terms of layout, it is finished in an attractive blue/green tone. This color, which immediately shows itself with the help of large dial diameter, turns the model in to a total object of interest. All three sub-dials are designed with lacquer white backgrounds that display the hour and minutes at 12 o’clock, the date at approximately 8 o’clock, and the power reserve at approximately 5 o’clock
The model features a hand-wound caliber designed by Stephen McDonnell for MB&F. As it is mentioned in the name of the model, the movement is equipped with two escapements. 35 jewels/314 pieces movement offers a power reserve of 72 hours when fully wound thanks to its double barrel system. The movement can be enjoyed through the transparent case back.
MB&F Legacy Machine Split Escapement Titanium / Green Dial comes with a hand-sewn brown alligator strap that is secured by a MB&F signed folding clasp made of titanium. The new model is limited to 33 units only and available with a MSRP of 64.000 CHF.
