Montblanc, who has been the official time keeper of the Goodwood Festival of Speed ??event from the major organizations of the motorsport world for the second time this year, introduced two new limited edition models that commemorate this exclusive brand partnership.
This year, the Goodwood Festival of Speed, a major event for the motorsports enthusiasts all over the world, celebrated its 25th year. The event that attracted a great deal of interest with the vehicles participated as well as their owners and drivers, held between the 12th and 15th of July.
All timings of the vehicles participating in the event were measured with Montblanc which was the official timekeeper of this year. The Goodwood Festival of Speed ??2018, which includes modern and avant-garde vehicles as well as classical automobiles, took place in a track of 1.16-miles long Hillclimb Shootout. The champion of the 2018 Festival of Speed was awarded with a limited edition Montblanc timepiece.
Apart from the official timekeeper duty, the brand that collects motorsports and watch enthusiasts under the same roof had both where guests can discover the carefully selected watch collections, as well as the timepiece designated for the champion.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed ??2018 Limited Editions Collection consists of two versions based on the TimeWalker Series, one of the brand’s locomotive model families. Models designed with vintage lines in accordance with the Heritage trend, which has been steadily popular in the watchmaking industry without slowing down, are prepared in two types as a three-hands and a chronograph.
The new models that have already been nicknamed as the “Cappuccinos” due to their color palette of brown tones, are both offered in stainless steel cases. The TimeWalker Manufacture Chronograph is limited to 1,500 pieces, whereas the TimeWalker Date Automatic is limited to 500 pieces. Both watches are powered with self-winding in-house Montblanc movements. The models are offered with perforated aged brown calf leather straps that were designed in line with the Retro concept and secured with Montblanc signed stainless-steel buckles.
