Arnold & Son presented its latest Haute Horlogerie wonder The Golden Wheel featuring a unique design combining the first-ever wandering hours function with the true beat seconds complication.

The case, in 18K red gold, measures 44mm. It has double AR-coated sapphire crystals and it is water resistant to 30 meters.

The mother-of-pearl arc displays the current hour, as the sapphire disks with the black hour numerals float over the contrasting white arc. Black arrows on the hour disks now point to the minutes dial-frame located above the hours’ arc. The true beat seconds indication is displayed via large dots on the outer ring and read via the central golden hand. This latest version of the Golden Wheel now features sapphire discs with black figures, a redesigned outer ring and a black ADLC treated dial plate in order to further increase contrast and readability.

The watch is powered with the Swiss automatic Arnold & Son in-house movement Caliber A&S6018. The -29 jewelled movement beats at 28,800 vph and offers a power reserve of 45 hours when fully wound.

The carrousel is made of solid 18K red gold and is satin-finished with hand-chamfered and polished edges. The oscillating rotor is also palladium treated and skeletonised with brushed surfaces.
