True to English watchmaking heritage, Arnold & Son unveils the TES Blue Tourbillon, with the hand-made Caliber A&S8100 with sapphire barrel bridge and blue main plate. This defining timepiece is part of the Royal Collection which combines classic styling with leading-edge technology.
The new Arnold & Son TES Tourbillon has a beautiful tourbillon carriage visible at 6 o’clock on the dial side of this watch, but it is the sapphire crystal barrel bridge — which allows a perfect view of the open worked barrel and wheels — that sets this timepiece apart.
The 18K white gold case, with stepped bezel, measures 44 mm in diameter, and features a fully polished finish, except on the sides of the lugs which are brushed. A cambered sapphire crystal, with an anti-reflective coating on both sides, protects the dial side. The caseback features a flat sapphire crystal.
The main plate is decorated with an old guilloché pattern that is found on the cases of antique Arnold & Son pocket watches. The main plate is also skeletonzied around the barrel and the tourbillon carriage.
The watch is powered by an in-house hand-wound 3Hz A&S8100 caliber, with 19 jewels and an 80-hour power reserve. The nickel-silver movement features a sapphire crystal barrel bridge and bridges those have been hand chamfered with polished edges. The wheels have been circular satin-finished, and are hand-chamfered with polished edges. Everything is finished to perfection, from the screwed gold chatons, to the tourbillon cage and bridge which are mirror-polished, to the screws that are bevelled and have mirror-polished heads.
The Arnold & Son TES Tourbillon displays hours, minutes and houses a 60-second tourbillon escapement. Water-resistance is 30 meters.
