Panerai is crowning its brand partnership with Brabus, one of the famous names in the automobile world, with a special Submersible model limited to 100 units.
The new brand partnership announced at the Monaco Yacht Show event was met with interest in both the watch and automobile world. The first fruit of this collaboration, which brought together two cult names of their profession, was the new Submersible model, inspired by the design of the BRABUS "Shadow Black Ops" series boats. The model, which is limited to only 100 units, is also the first skeleton-style automatic model of the brand.

The new model comes in a 47mm Submersible style case. The black case, which is made of Carbotech material, has sapphire crystals on both sides. Like the other members of the collection, the case, which is designed to withstand 300 meters of water pressure, is accompanied by a one-way rotating bezel and a characteristic crown protection unit.
The model hosts a skeleton-style dial with red accents on black. An important approach for the brand, the perforated dial has a polarized date window at the 3 o'clock position. In addition to the AM/PM indicator, the components of the movement can be seen through the stylish dial with the Brabus logo.
The new model is brought to life by the in-house Caliber P.4001/S. Based on the Caliber P.4000, the automatic movement offers a 3-day power reserve, which can be followed by the indicator on the back of the watch. Like many of Panerai's in-house movements, the Caliber P.4001/S stops the seconds at zero when the crown is pulled so that it can be practically synchronized with a reference source.
The Panerai Submersible S Brabus Black Ops Edition (PAM01240) is delivered with two straps, one a bi-material with gray fabric, tone-on-tone stitching, and a trapezoidal pin buckle in DLC-coated titanium; the other, a Panerai Sportech strap with velcro closure. A special tool is included to easily swap between straps, along with a screwdriver to remove the buckle.
The list price for the model, which is limited to only 100 pieces, is EUR 45,000.
