The Heritage trend, which has been influencing the watch industry for a long time, continues on its way without losing its popularity. This trend, fed by humankind's longing for nostalgia and the fact that design details of the past are in fashion again within certain intervals, today inspires the most important product groups of the watchmaking industry.
Omega is among the brands that follow the Heritage trend and include such products in its catalogs. The brand, which preserves its status as a milestone in the watch industry with its glorious past and hundreds of cult models it brought to life, is the guest of our pages today with the Seamaster 300 Co-Axial Master Chronometer 41MM.
There are 23 different references in the Omega Seamaster 300 Master Chronometer model family. The models we chose for our review are in the 41mm subgroup.
The case, which is designed with a diameter of 41mm and a height of 13.85mm, hosts matte and glossy surfaces. Sporting a slightly conical designed crown with Omega emblem and sapphire crystals on both sides, the retro-style case is resistant to water pressure up to 300 meters.
The first of the models we chose for review (Ref. 234.32.41.21.03.001) comes with a stainless steel case and a blue insert bezel. The other model (Ref. 234.92.41.21.10.001) is presented with a case made of Bronze Gold material, a patented alloy that the brand has just begun to adapt to its product groups.
Bronze Gold, which has a composition of 50% copper and 37.5% gold, together with a mixture of silver and palladium, distinguishes itself with its pinkish tone, which lies between the two other proprietary gold alloys of Omega, yellow Moonshine Gold and red Sedna Gold. Although the material, like other bronze alloys, patina over time, it does not allow the formation of that green and thick layer that we remember from the early examples of bronze watches. Omega Seamaster 300 Co-Axial Master Chronometer 41MM Bronze Gold can be easily used in components such as the case back and buckle, due to the hypoallergenic nature of the alloy.
While the stainless steel model is equipped with an aluminum bezel insert, the Bronze Gold model uses a glossy black ceramic bezel insert.
The dial design of the model family also bears traces of the past. In the sandwich-style dial consisting of two different layers, the lower disc houses an old radium-look Super-LumiNOVA finish. On the upper disc with perforated markers, Broad Arrow style hands, one of Omega's cult designs, serve. There is no date window on the dial, which offers minimal details in terms of text and logo. The steel version comes with a blue dial, while the Bronze Gold version hosts a brown dial.
Caliber 8912, designed and produced by the brand in-house, gives life to the new model family. The METAS Master Chronometer certified automatic movement offers a power reserve time of up to 60 hours when fully wound. Equipped with a silicon balance spring, the movement brings a new perspective to industry standards with its magnetic resistance to 15000 Gauss.
The models, accompanied by calf leather straps, are fixed to the wrist with a standard pin buckle with the Omega emblem. The price information of the models is as follows;
