Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Ultra Light

Omega introduced its new model Seamaster Aqua Terra Ultra Light, which stands out with its featherweight body and ergonomic design.

When it comes to ultra-light and super-ergonomic models made specifically for athletes, I’m sure Omega isn’t the first brand that comes to mind. Yes, looking at the last few years, it seems that Richard Mille is the best in this league. However, Omega also made a quick introduction with the new Seamaster Aqua Terra Ultra Light, as the features of the model are not like the ones in your daily sports watch.

Developed on the modern Aqua Terra platform, the new model family is home to three different versions that are distinguished by their thematic colors. As also emphasized in the name of the model, the lightweight case is made of the brand’s new material: Gamma Titanium alloy. The case, which limits the model’s total weight at 55gr when worn with the lightweight textile strap, is water-resistant to 150 meters / 15 bars that is fair enough for a modern sports watch. Another innovative detail from the 41mm diameter case is the telescopic lock winding crown, which means that once it is pressed, it comes out of the case to make the adjustments, and when it is pressed again once again, it goes back into the case in the locked position. Can’t wait to see this in person!

The dial of the model, as you might expect, is made of titanium. With its deep grooves and applied indexes, I am sure that the dial will display a deep three-dimensional image. I would also like to add that the dial is where the color themes separating the versions are most clearly applied. There’s no date display in the dial, which makes it an excellent design for symmetry addicted guys like me.

The new model is powered by the brand’s manufacture movement Caliber 8928. 29 jewels hand-wound movement beats at a frequency of 25.200vph and offers a 72h power reserve when fully wound thanks to its double barrels. The main plate and the bridges of the 29mm diameter movement are made of titanium. The movement is Master Chronometer certified and antimagnetic up to 15,000 Gauss.

Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Ultra Light models are offered with black rubber straps decorated with details per color themes and secured by Omega signed titanium folding buckles. There is also included a lightweight fabric strap in the box set. MSRP is EUR 45,800.
