Omega continues to crown its long-term cooperation with the Olympic Games, where it serves as the official timekeeper.
Omega has been the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games since 1932. The famous brand recently added a new one to its special edition models that share this theme. The new model, based on the Diver 300M platform that is considered one of the most successful Omega model families of all time, is produced exclusively for the "Beijing 2022 Olympic Games".
The case of the model measures 42mm in diameter and 14mm in height. Grade 5 ultra-light titanium alloy is preferred for the diving bezel on the front of the modern Diver 300M style case. The case is water-resistant up to 300 meters and has an anti-reflective sapphire crystal on the front and a solid case back featuring an engraving about the "Beijing 2022 Olympic Games" theme.
The model sports a stylish dial made of blue ceramic. The hour markers bearing the colors used in the Olympic rings, including red, green, yellow, and blue, are placed behind the round indices on the dial with a laser engraved wave pattern. The dial sports a set of Diver 300M style hands and a date window.
The Omega Seamaster Diver 300M “Beijing 2022” Special Edition model, like the other Diver 300M models, features the manufacture Caliber 8800 movement. The 35-jewels, METAS certified automatic movement beats at a frequency of 4Hz (28.800vph) and offers a power reserve of 55 hours when fully wound.
The model is available on the multi-piece stainless steel bracelet, which is among the signature details of the Diver 300M series. The list price for the model is EUR 6,100.
