Seamaster 300M adventure that started in 1993 is re-introduced after 25 years with different materials and small design details that are loyal to the model family’s DNA.
There are a total six different versions in the collection as a 2500 units limited version made of Tantalum and five standard versions.
The standard models are offered in stainless steel cases while the limited editon model’s case is made of combining tantalum, Grade 2 titanium and 18K Sedna Gold. Both cases are 42mm in diameter. The bezels in the standard versions are made with ceramic inserts while the limited edition model is equipped with a tantalum bezel. One of the most noticeable details of the new models is the redesigned and patented helium release valve.
The dials on which the wave pattern is used are produced from ceramic material, on which a smooth and flowing design is obtained. The hands and indices used in the new model family have some differences compared to the previous Seamaster 300M series. SuperLuminova filling in skeletal hands is applied to the entire surface, not just the ends, improving the readability in darker environments.
New models are powered by the Caliber 8800. Self-winding movement beats at 25.200vph and offers a power reserve of 55 hours.
The new models can be chosen with the iconic bracelet design of the brand, but also there are silicon strap options as well. The limited edition model is offered on a metal bracelet made of the same materials with the case/bezel.
The Seamaster 300M model is at the forefront of models that have been in the collection for many years and have achieved great success. So, at first glance, the new design is a bit strange (especially the new helium valve), but with the changes made in terms of technical and design, it is possible to say that the new model has further improved its tool watch identity.
Standard versions will be available from July 2018, while limited edition models will be available in October at boutiques.
